Tunes in my head: Road by Nick Drake
Atmosphere: Eh.
It's interesting how our biological makeup can affect us psychologically. Apparently, of the replaceable cells in our bodies (i.e. not brain or nerve cells), we are completely replaced, we are a new person, every twelve years.
In my case, I can see where it's coming from. I used to be a genius level mathematician. Now I'm a playwright (I don't think genius level. Apparently very good, but we're our own worst critics.)
It's amazing how quickly change can come forth.
I mean, twelve years is nothing for a completely different person to emerge.
Will I be an accountant at 30? Possibly.
It's amazing how quickly change can happen in the eyes of others, though.
Within a few days we can see a complete change.
I mean, the "innocent young girl" stereotype can be destroyed by one false step.
(not that it has yet, my dear. not that it has yet.)

So here we are. Two hundred posts.
Two hundred little snippets of what goes through my mind.
I'm amazed if you've read them all. (and scared)
Firstly, I'll repeat what I asked at one hundred.
If the blog has had even one moment that has touched you or made you think or hit you on an emotional level or whatever, could you please tell me in a comment? I feel the need to know.
As much as I say "oh, no, I write for myself", I do write for you, the readers, as well. Ergo I would like to know if I've achieved my aim of hitting you. On an emotional level, an intellectual one, whatever.
Secondly, thank you Suzy, I love you.
Thirdly, if you read this, could you please just comment with your name (and credit card numbers?)
I'm often amazed at the sheer variety of people who read this. I used to think I'd get eight or ten readers tops.
Apparently I have somewhere in the region of sixty to a hundred.
(at a rough guess.)
So just knowing who exactly they are and how many of you there are would ease my mind slightly.
No, knowing who does and doesn't will not censor my posts.
It's just for pure maths sakes...
Yes, even if I know you read (coughbascough), comment anyway...it makes the maths easier.
And yes, I know some of you refuse to name yourself (bloody anonymouses.) Just post anyway with some identifying feature so I can distinguish.
Fourthly, I'm going to put up a musical present in an hour or so. I don't expect you to listen (although I'd really LIKE you to at least try it.)
Just consider it my present to you guys.
(EDIT: It'll be up overnight, check tomorrow. No, this isn't a plot to attract viewers.)
EDIT 2: Musical gift #1 - http://www.sendspace.com/file/4bhw3a
Thanks very much for continually reading, and keep doing so...

..sometimes xD
Yeah, see, Liam.
As much as that comment to make people comment doesn't work, it doesn't.
I've tried it... about 4 times... I still don't know who reads my blog =/
Either that, or I'm one lonely soul...
/suicide
but yeah... don't ask, I'm not thinking uncurly...

I read.
Honestly though, it's a lot more fun when people walk up to you and go 'seriously, you need a life. I read your blog.' fucking weird, but it gives some weird sense.. of something.
I doubt that the replacement of every (say) skin cell in your body is going to have anything to do with the transition from mathematics to drama. (reading the post, it seems as though you're suggesting that, I am probably misreading though)
To me the more interesting thing is how the physical makeup of the brain affects a persons psychology. How they think, behave, etc. how much of a person's behaviour is determined by physical factors like that, and how much from experience/life?

In terms of whether you have "hit me" or not, I would be inclined to say no (but I am hardly a good indicator of the effectiveness of such things). Then again, I read and (occasionally) comment here, so I guess there is something. Most likely it is the interesting topics you bring up every now and again (as in the first section of this posting), and the fact that when you put aside the more emotional/angsty/whatever parts of your posts ([insert flames over insensitivity here]), you're a generally more interesting person than many others.
i read :D i think it's very profound, a much better expression than anything i could ever hope to achieve *sigh*
Only sometimes, Kasia?
Yeah, I know...I just wanna see how many actually do, Cheng. It just annoys me because I've had things with anonymous people upsetting me..and so I wanna see who actually has the balls to come out and read.
*coughcoughidontknowwhyyouevencommentedasidefrombeingagoodboycoughcough*
It's a strange sense of satisfaction, me thinks. We get this sort of thrill out of hearing that our words are actually cared about.
Well, I'm just suggesting it. It was something that interested me, and it's certainly a possibility. The fact that we literally become a completely new person.
I think a large amount, if not all of a person's psychology is affected by their physical appearance.
Well, even that is a compliment and a way of hitting you in itself - if I'm interesting enough to read about, then I've hit you on that level.
Is it really, Rhiannon? I don't really feel it is, sometimes. A lot of what I write is just pure emotion. And there's nothing that anybody is incapable of in a literary or profoundity sense. And expression is all in the ear of the listener. How I express myself can and has been seen as perfectly clear in some cases and oblique in others. If there's this confusion, do I really express myself so well?

SHUT UP ! xD
I read it quite a bit, Liam. Sometimes it hits really close to home, which is in no way a bad thing, as it makes me feel less alone or frustrated. And I really like the way you write, you have a knack of expressing yourself which a lot of people couldn't even come close to.
