Tunes in my head: King by Marillion
Atmosphere: Grumpy
What happens when we love?
What happens when we love someone we're not meant to?
We feel conflicted.
We feel like we shouldn't be doing this, we shouldn't be feeling these emotions.
But at the same time, we can't control our emotions.
And it feels kind of good to feel that way.
Even though you know that it will never come to fruition.
Somehow this is a better thing, really.
A fantasy that isn't ruined.

Not meant to?
But then, it will always be nothing more than a fantasy. Wouldn't that be rather dissatisfying? Something you crave deeply stuck in a fictional world, and you arent even going to try and salvage it into reality?
I don't know about you, but I wouldn't do that...
I dunno. Sometimes the illusion we create in our heads is a lot more appealing than what is actually happening.
Also, if you love someone, and it never works out, and it hurts, but you eventually move on, you may one day find yourself feeling lonely, romanticizing about what it was like to "be in love". Things always look better in the rear view mirror.
Like that cat you just ran over.
